Best RAMADAN pREPARATION tIPS
Assalamu Alaikum, dear ladies! Welcome back. I hope we are making the most or intending to make the most of Ramadan. Today I wanted to share how I like to prepare for a successful Ramadan insha’Allah.
Now, let us delve into today's topic. I have outlined five steps that I would like to share with you all. So, without further ado, let’s jump right in.
Reflect
The first step is to reflect on my previous Ramadan experiences—reviewing my goals and evaluating what went well, as well as what could have been improved. This reflection is essential, as it allows me to learn from past mistakes and successes, enhancing my approach for the coming Ramadan. It is crucial to have a list of goals to assess, as this practice helps to boost confidence and set a positive trajectory moving forward.
Goal Setting
The second step involves setting new life goals. Unlike my Ramadan-specific goals, these are broader, long-term aspirations that I intend to cultivate during Ramadan and maintain thereafter. One of my primary goals is to read a certain number of pages of the Quran daily. Although I have a relationship with the Quran, I recognize that it can be deepened. Therefore, my intention is to establish a consistent daily connection with the Quran, which I plan to commence during Ramadan.
Edit
Next, I engage in a personal evaluation of my sins. This step entails introspection and journaling, where I ask myself if there are any major sins I am committing. It is vital to acknowledge these and seek forgiveness. Ramadan presents us with a unique opportunity to turn back to Allah and seek His mercy, making sincere repentance essential during this month.
Resources
The fourth step involves gathering resources that will aid in making my Ramadan more productive. I curate a playlist of inspiring videos that remind me of Allah and reinforce my commitment to the Deen. Additionally, I plan to clean up my social media to ensure that I am only engaging with content that supports my spiritual growth.
Forgiveness
Finally, I focus on seeking forgiveness from others. It is important to acknowledge that our relationships with others are just as significant as our relationship with Allah. Therefore, I will reach out to those around me, asking for forgiveness for any unintentional harm I may have caused.
These are the five steps I am taking to prepare for Ramadan this year. I hope you find them beneficial and that they inspire you on your own journey. Take some time to reflect, set your goals, and embrace this beautiful opportunity for growth. May Allah grant us all the ability to witness Ramadan and make the most of it.
Thank you for joining me today, and speak soon.
